The Remuda

We’re thrilled to welcome back mixed media artist Dolan Geiman to this year’s Fringe Artist Collection. Born in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley and now based in Denver, Dolan’s work is rooted in the beauty of nature and the character of reclaimed materials. His art blends collage, sculpture, and screenprint to tell uniquely American stories.

The Remuda captures the power and movement of a wild horse herd beneath a boundless sky. Adapted from Dolan’s original paper collage, each horse—while appearing similar from afar—reveals its own unique detail and texture upon closer look. This piece channels both freedom and subtle complexity in motion.
